MONTEBELLO, Calif. () — A palm tree caught fire in Montebello, sending sparks raining down onto nearby rooftops, according to video provided by a neighbor.
The fire occurred on Greenwood Avenue near Elm Street. Video from the scene showed the burning palm tree as sparks showered the surrounding area.
A neighbor who recorded the video said he heard fireworks shortly before the tree caught fire.
No additional information about injuries, damage or the cause of the fire was immediately available.
