Meghan Markle is making the most of her move back to the U.K. with a girls’ night.

The Duchess of Sussex, 45, was spotted enjoying dinner at Claridge’s with activist Malala Yousafzai on Wednesday, October 7.

A TikTok video shared by another patron shows the pair deep in conversation in the background.

Malala, 29, interviewed Meghan and Prince Harry in October 2020 to mark Day of the Girl as they championed the right to education for girls worldwide.

During the conversation, which was recorded via Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic, the royal couple shared that being locked down at home allowed them to witness seminal moments in son Prince Archie’s life.

“We were both there for his first steps,” Harry said of Archie, now 7. “His first run, his first fall, his first everything.”

“And it’s just fantastic, because I think in so many ways we are fortunate to be able to have this time to watch him grow, and in the absence of COVID, we would be traveling and working more externally,” Meghan added. “And we’d miss a lot of those moments. So it’s been a lot of good family time.”

Meghan, Harry, Archie and daughter Princess Lilibet, 5, moved back to the U.K. from Montecito, California, in late August just in time for the start of the British school year, with the little ones now attending a U.K. academy for the first time.

Prince Harry is opening up about his family’s transatlantic return to England for the first time. “My highlight so far? Do I have to share it with you?” Harry, 42, quipped during a Thursday, September 17, interview with Hello! at the Invictus Spirit Awards. “Look, the last few weeks have been … eventful.” Us learned […]

The couple moved to California in 2020 after stepping down as senior working members of the royal family.

“Harry is not as happy in the U.S. as he is in the U.K.,” a source exclusively told Us in August.

“They aim to be somewhere outside of London, not in, like, the city proper,” the source added. “They are open to a new chapter.”

Meghan is expected to continue leading her lifestyle brand, As Ever, from the U.K., while Harry will spend time supporting his various charitable endeavors.

“Harry still operates as if he were a member of the royal family when he evaluates opportunities,” the source said. “He’s seen royals who have left the royal family, like Sarah Ferguson, whose path he does not want to emulate. He wants to do things that are a right fit for him, but that can be very limiting. And, of course, they need to find ways to make money, so they are eager to find partnerships that are the right fit and fruitful for them.”

Since moving back to the U.K., Meghan and Harry have been spotted at the Falkland Arms pub and hanging out with friends Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi at The Three Horseshoes pub, both in the Cotswolds.
