Michael Desronvil, the holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial, broke his silence after it was revealed that he was arrested in 2021 following an alleged domestic violence incident.

After Clancy’s trial was declared a mistrial on September 4, Desronvil, 48, was identified as the only juror that voted to find the defendant guilty. His legal issues later came to light, including his previous domestic violence arrest.

While speaking to Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany on Thursday, October 15, Desronvil briefly broke down the incident that led to his arrest.

“So, that was back in 2021. It was an incident between myself and my ex-wife, you know, that got blown out of proportion,” he said. “There was no physical abuse, emotional abuse, financial abuse, any of sorts.”

The lawyer for the lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy’s murder case is continuing to sing his praises after the highly-debated trial ended with an 11-1 deadlocked jury. “Michael Péguy Desronvil,” attorney Edward Andrew Paltzik wrote via Instagram on Saturday, September 19, alongside a photo of his client holding his baby daughter as he smiled […]

McEnany, 38, then asked Desronvil if he was truthful while filling out his juror questionnaire.

“Well, what I did was I answered the questionnaire truthfully,” he said.

As Us previously reported, Desronvil’s 13-year-old nephew called 911 to report the alleged attack in 2021 and claimed that he saw Desronvil grab his then-wife by the throat before he threw her against a dresser. The charges against Desronvil were later dropped.

Desronvil’s legal issues continued four years later in 2025 when the same nephew obtained a restraining order against him. He was granted the order after Desronvil allegedly pushed the teen to the ground and punched him in the face on a handful of occasions.

In light of the order, Desronvil was ordered to surrender any firearms and to stay away from his nephew until August 11 as part of a civil protection order. The restraining order was still active when he was selected to be on Clancy’s jury.

Lindsay Clancy’s attorney has asked the judge presiding over her case to declare her not guilty after her murder trial ended in a mistrial. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington asked Judge William Sullivan to find Clancy, 36, not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. Reddington argued that […]

Following one week of deliberations, Clancy’s case was declared a mistrial when the jury was deadlocked 11-1 and was unable to come to a unanimous verdict after she was accused of killing her kids, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, in January 2023.

Clancy, 36, never denied killing her children. However, her attorney, Kevin Reddington, argued during the trial that she should not be held criminally responsible due to her experience with postpartum psychosis. The prosecution claimed Clancy was aware of the crime she committed and should be held criminally responsible for the murders.

Desronvil also reflected on his decision to find Clancy guilty during the interview.

“There were moments that were tense,” Desronvil said of the deliberations. “There were moments that were tense as we were deliberating.”

He also insisted that he did not have reasonable doubt that Clancy should not be held criminally responsible for the killings.

“I had a lot of evidence to back up my claim,” he claimed. “But … out of respect [for] the other jurors and the court system, I will put that to sleep for now. Until, you know, they go through the process of the court system.”
