Keke Palmer is breaking her silence about those Sean Evans romance rumors.
Podcaster Jay Shetty asked Palmer, 32, whether she was “serious” about the Hot Ones host, 40, while appearing on Spotify’s Conversations That Channel Culture panel at Cannes Lions in France on Tuesday, June 23.
“Oh, we’re talking about this? First of all, I love Sean Evans. I love Sean. Hey, Sean! That’s my guy,” Palmer replied, according to Page Six. “We’re hanging out.”
Palmer played coy, telling the crowd that you “never know what could arise” between her and Evans. But as of right now, they’re “just tak[ing] it day by day.”
Palmer quipped, “One wing at a time, so to speak.”
Evans told Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg in 2023 that he had a crush on Palmer, calling her “very charming.”
Palmer appeared on Hot Ones for the third time in 2025, and they addressed Evans’ viral moment. Palmer even initiated a kiss with Evans during the internet show.
“There’s one more thing I’d like to say, Sean,” Palmer said at the time. “Because I saw an interview where you said, like, I was your favorite guest, you know, and all this really sweet stuff. And I know we’ve just had some wings, but I thought that maybe we could just have a quick smooch to see if there’s a spark.”

Evans responded, “When I’m dying and my life flashes before my eyes, I’ll have that snapshot.”
In the months that followed, Palmer and Evans started to spark romance rumors. Multiple outlets reported earlier this month that the duo were spotted on a date in Brooklyn.
Ahead of their outing, Evans praised Palmer in a separate interview.
“Working with Keke Palmer is always like a one-plus-one-equals-three situation,” he said during an FYC event at Hollywood’s Avalon on June 11. “You know who I loved interviewing was Viola Davis. I really loved interviewing Viola Davis. Paul Rudd is another one who immediately understood what we were doing and got me.”

Palmer, meanwhile, recently disclosed what she’s looking for in a romantic partner.
“I’m looking for, first of all, faith,” Palmer said on her “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer” podcast on June 16. “I’m looking for a God-fearing man. Somebody that really loves God and the way that they treat their friends, their family, the people they work with. They actually know him embodied.”
She added, “I’m looking for somebody that knows where they want to go. They are clear on that path. They are absolutely having clarity about where they want to go and who they want to be.”
The Password host previously dated fitness instructor Darius Jackson, with whom she shares 3-year-old son Leo.
