Influencer Paola Márquez has died at age 30, with police investigating a possible suicide.
Spanish-language outlet El Sol de San Luis reported that Márquez was found unresponsive in her San Luis Potosí, Mexico, apartment by a family member on Saturday, May 30. Paramedics reportedly pronounced her dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the State Attorney General’s Office confirmed that Márquez’s death was being investigated as a potential suicide.
Márquez had more than 2 million followers across various platforms. Her final TikTok video alarmed viewers with its discouraging message about her life.
“I manifested — but I think I manifested backwards, because the little I had is slipping away,” she told her followers on Friday, May 29.
Following the shocking news of her death, Paola’s father, Hércules Márquez Balderas, opened up about his grief in a Facebook post on Saturday.
“My treasure went ahead, my beautiful daughter Paola Márquez, today a piece of my life went, Dear God have you and keep you in a beautiful place my daughter, one day we will be together again, rest in peace my princess,” he wrote.
Many shared their condolences for the Márquez family in the comment section of Hércules’s memorial post.
“I’m in shock cousin it can’t be true that someone tells me it’s a lie. My God give me strength I really need it,” one person replied.
“My deepest condolences friend, God give you strength, a strong hug,” another reader commented, while another shared, “My most sincere condolences friend herculano for that great loss that God gives them much strength as parents of paola.”
Hércules later responded to the many sympathetic messages, writing, “Thank you all for your condolences, God bless you!”

He subsequently confirmed on Monday, June 1, that Paola was being laid to rest in a funeral mass later that same day in Huichihuayán, a community in the southeast region of San Luis Potosí.
“I didn’t meet you in person, but I always identify with you 🥺 May God receive you with open arms,” one fan wrote to Paola, with another adding for her father, “God continue to give you strength cousin to move forward, you and your mommy for this great loss, I hug you with the soul, God receives her in his arms.”
Paola gained a significant following on social media for bringing her followers along on her world travels, including sharing her experiences on tropical vacations, major concerts and glamorous yacht trips.
Her Instagram bio served as a poignant reminder to her followers about what’s important in life, reading, “Instagram is not real life.”
