The Skechers style worn by the Knicks forward during Game 4 of the NBA Finals – when he made the game-winning putback basket with just 1.2 seconds remaining – is available exclusively at Manhattan’s Extra Butter store through Oct. 31. The boutique at 125 Orchard St. is known for its grail sneaker drops.
To recap the viral offensive rebound, OG’s soaring shot gave the Knicks a 107-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs and propelled the team to its first NBA Championship in 53 years. It’s considered to be one of the most impactful plays in NBA Finals history.
On the champion’s size-15.5 feet that night were Skechers’ SKX Nexus “NYC Blue” in franchise colors. The model features a breathable mesh upper, lockdown ankle support, responsive 5GEN midsole cushioning with a torsion plate and a Goodyear Performance Outsole. The heel is festooned with OG’s signature and the sockliner and tongue display his logo.
To celebrate his sneaker, OG made a surprise two-hour personal appearance at the Lower East Side store on Oct. 16th. The adorably serious athlete, who wore a shell suit, glasses and a cap, autographed shoes and togs and posed for pictures.
His sneakers first became available for pre-order on July 1, a few weeks after the Knicks captured the title. The $120 shoes sold out within hours.

In honor of the NBA Season Opener, Extra Butter is hosting a Knicks vs. 76ers watch party at the boutique tonight. Three Skechers basketball pros – OG and Joel Embiid and Jabari Walker of the Sixers – will be lacing up. And next month, the SKS Nexus “NYC Blue” drops at Skechers stores and on Skechers.com globally.
