A 3-year-old boy was taken during a home invasion in Van Nuys and police are investigating it as a possible parental abduction.
A 3-year-old boy was taken during a home invasion in Van Nuys and police are investigating it as a possible parental abduction.
The incident happened around 8:13 a.m. on Van Nuys Boulevard. The Los Angeles Police Department was trying to sort out exactly what happened, but said it possibly stemmed from a custody dispute between the suspect and victim.
The suspect, only described as an adult man, fled the scene in a black Chevy Equinox rental with Oregon license plates. Police say he possibly had a firearm in his waistband.
Meanwhile, the child was wearing a yellow shirt and blue shorts with a baby shark pattern.
An Amber Alert has not been issued.
