2 people injured after hit-and-run crash in Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles

BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (CNS) — Two people were injured in a hit-and-run crash in Boyle Heights Saturday evening.

The collision was reported about 5:40 p.m. in the 600 block of Forest Avenue, near Folsom Street and a few blocks north of Evergreen Cemetery, according to Officer Miller of the Los Angeles Police Department.

A silver Dodge car struck about four parked vehicles, injuring two people, including a 22-year-old man. At least one person was taken to a hospital with severe injuries, according to police.

The driver fled the scene and no one was in custody as of about 7 p.m., Miller said.
