CANOGA PARK, LOS ANGELES () — Two people jumped from the second floor of an apartment building that erupted in flames in Canoga Park early Tuesday morning.
The fire started just after 2:30 a.m. on Bryant Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. It took dozens of firefighters nearly 30 minutes to extinguish the flames.
At least two units on both floors of the apartment complex were left severely damaged. Officials said two people who were on the second floor when the fire broke out escaped by jumping out of the burning building.
The manager of the apartment building told Eyewitness News at the scene that two people were rushed to the hospital but are expected to be OK. It’s unclear if those individuals were the people who jumped.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
