Jersey Shore star Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola has found The One in husband Justin May.
The couple sparked romance speculation in November 2021 following Giancola’s split from fiancé Christian Biscardi earlier that year. (Giancola previously dated MTV costar Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.)
Giancola and May’s relationship heated up that holiday season when she shared a social media snap of the pair under a Christmas tree in December 2021.
The pair got engaged in April 2024 and tied the knot more than one year later. Giancola said “I do” in December 2025 at the Park Chateau Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
Us Weekly confirmed that the MTV cameras were rolling during the wedding, which was attended by several of Giancola’s Jersey Shore costars.

Justin May Is a New Jersey Native
May was born and raised in Toms River, New Jersey. Giancola, meanwhile, was born in nearby Hazlet, New Jersey.

According to May’s Facebook page, he used to bartend at Bamboo Bar. The cast of Jersey Shore used to regularly spend time at the nightclub when the series originally aired from 2009 until 2012, which means they most likely crossed paths when Giancola was first on the show.
May made his debut on the spinoff Jersey Shore: Family Vacation during season 6 when the cast went on a trip to Florida. He has since appeared on season 7 and season 8.
Justin May Values His Family Connections
May previously opened up about his brother Garrett’s battle with testicular cancer in 2019. While linking to a GoFundMe page that helps Garrett care for his daughter, May noted that he appreciated “all the love and support we’ve been receiving” amid his brother’s health scare.

After Giancola suffered a miscarriage, she and May welcomed the rainbow baby, son Vincent Keith, in August 2025.
“After this very long journey to get here, words cannot describe how blessed and truly grateful we are. Forever living in our baby love bubble until further notice 🥹♥️,” she captioned an Instagram photo announcing her son’s arrival. “OK I can’t stop crying happy tears. Thank you God.”
