Donald Trump is demanding another debate with President Joe Biden.
“I have the answer to the Crooked Joe Biden Incompetence Puzzle,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social website as he called for a “no holds barred” rematch with his rival.
“It would also, under great pressure, prove his ‘competence,’ or lack thereof,” Trump said. “Likewise it would be yet another test for me.”
The previous debate left many voters frustrated, with Trump delivering a barrage of lies and Biden performing so poorly that it raised new questions about his cognitive health and led to calls he drop his reelection bid.
Trump said a second debate between the two would be a “great evening” and that the ratings “would blow everything away.”
The former president has long been obsessed with ratings, telling Variety editor and author Ramin Setoodeh that it was “the only thing that matters.”
“If you have ratings, you can be the meanest, most horrible human being in the world,” he said.
While Trump and his allies have seized on Biden’s performance as proof of cognitive problems, Setoodeh said he found Trump suffered from “severe memory issues” during his multiple interviews with the former president.
Both Trump and Biden have insisted they are healthy.
The Biden campaign has not responded to the call for another debate, which Trump said he would do “ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE!!!”
As things stand now, the two are set to face off again in September.
