Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo
Bravo (2)

Craig Conover got real on Southern Charm about his family plans with Paige DeSorbo — and the steps he took to someday become a dad — before they called it quits.

“Me and Paige have decided to freeze my sperm,” Craig, 35, told pals Austen Kroll and Shep Rose during the Thursday, January 2, episode of the Bravo series, which filmed in summer 2024.

During the episode, Craig also told his then-girlfriend, Paige, about his choice to ensure they can have kids one day, which surprised her as well. (Paige, 32, announced her and Craig’s split days prior to this episode airing.)

“I was thinking about freezing my sperm,” Craig explained to Paige while sitting in his backyard in Charleston. “That’s like the craziest thing in the world,” a stunned Paige said in response.

Jordan Strauss/Bravo On the newest episode of Southern Charm, Craig Conover confessed his desire to become a father made him think about breaking up with Paige DeSorbo. “I’m sitting around waiting for her to decide if she’ll be ready to move in together,” Craig, 34, told pal Rodrigo Reyes on the Thursday, November 9, episode […]

Despite the visible shock on Paige’s face, Craig moved forward with the idea and the cameras followed him to the sperm bank where he did his business.

Craig continued to outline his plan for a family with Paige while chatting with Austen, 37, and Shep, 44, during Thursday’s episode.

“I read about this person who got in a car accident … they can’t produce anymore,” Craig told his friends. “I would be remiss to not say that becoming a dad is, probably, whatever it’s called if it has to happen in my future.”

He later confirmed that becoming a parent is something he ultimately wants but noted that “now it’s probably going to be three or four years” due to Paige’s timeline.

When questioned about whose idea it was to hold off on having a family, Craig said it was Paige. He claimed that once she decided they would wait, “It made sense to me.”

However, Craig confessed that “without any influence from Paige” he would have his own timeline that was: “You date a little while then you get married, then you have kids.”

The Sewing Down South founder insisted that he and Paige, who had been dating three years when he filmed the scene, were going to get married and have kids “one day” but for now they were trying to “make as much money as possible.”

“I want kids one day. Have I ever told you that I want kids right now?” Craig told Austen, claiming, “I never said I want kids right now.”

Austen, however, told the cameras, “Ever since I’ve known Craig, he’s wanted to get married, wanted to have kids.” Austen confessed, “I’m not entirely sold that Craig wants what Paige wants.”

The fear is real. Paige DeSorbo broke into tears while talking about her future with Craig Conover after the two didn’t see eye to eye on an engagement date. “I want to talk to you about us,” Craig, 34, told his girlfriend, Paige, 30, during the Monday, April 10, episode of Summer House, joking, “Will […]

Craig, meanwhile, confessed that his own timeline has been altered because of his relationship with Paige. “The version of life that I saw myself living isn’t what I’m living, which is this stable home that I grew up with,” he told the cameras. “Every night at dinner, my mom and dad were there with my brother. I just loved that.”

He explained: “But I think If you find the right person and they happen to be a feisty Italian from New York things aren’t always going to go how you have them planned.”

Craig and Paige sparked a romance in summer 2021 after costarring on season 1 of Winter House. In early December 2024, Craig shut down breakup rumors but weeks later Paige confirmed that they had parted ways before the holidays.

Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover were open about their long-distance relationship prior to their December 2024 split. “We spend as much time as we can together and we’re patient with each other,” Conover told Us Weekly exclusively at the October 2024 Hayu FanFest in London. “We’re in a great place and, fortunately, New York and […]

“Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” the Summer House star said during the Monday, December 30, episode of her and Hannah Berner’s “Giggly Squad” podcast. “I love him, I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”

Prior to their split, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Craig was “ready for the next steps and had plans to propose.” However, living in separate cities — Craig resides in Charleston, while Paige lives in New York City — proved too much for the couple to overcome.

“Paige does not want to move to Charleston, and logistically it was never going to work out long term,” the insider said on Tuesday, December 31. “Many of their friends are not shocked at all, but everyone is sad for them.”

Southern Charm airs on Bravo Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
