LOS ANGELES () — Charges were filed Tuesday against Ivana Lisette Ortiz, the woman accused of firing shots at Rihanna’s Los Angeles mansion while the singer was home on Sunday.

Ivana Lisette Ortiz was charged with 14 counts including attempted murder, use of a firearm, assault with a semiautomatic firearm and shooting into an inhabited dwelling with enhancements.

Ortiz briefly appeared in a Los Angeles criminal courtroom Tuesday afternoon, but her arraignment was postponed until near the end of the month.

The Los Angeles Police Department said Tuesday morning that Ortiz drove to Los Angeles from Florida before the shooting.

“My understanding is the person drove here from Florida. How long they’ve been in the area … I don’t have that information,” said LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell. “They’re working on that. That would be part of the whole motive, why the person came out here. We haven’t established a motive, we do know, and are aware of, social media posts that had been made that they’re looking into further.”

Rihanna’s Beverly Glen mansion was hit by gunfire while the singer was home, according to the LAPD and sources with knowledge of the investigation.

Investigators said she went to the singer’s home Sunday afternoon with a semiautomatic rifle and fired multiple rounds toward the house. Rihanna was home at the time along with her partner A$AP Rocky, their three children, her mother and two staff members. No one was hurt.

Ortiz’ bail was initially set at more than $10 million, but was later reduced to $1.875 million.

Police said part of the reason Ortiz’s bail was set at $10 million is because there were 10 victims present during the shooting. It is unclear why the bail was reduced

District Attorney Nathan Hochman said, “”The message is very simple and very clear. Come into this county from Florida, come into this county from anywhere in this county, and we will arrest you, we will prosecute you, and we will punish you if you want to engage in shooting at inhabited dwellings.”

He added that Ortiz’ motive is under full investigation and “law enforcement will be looking at any videos on social media and any additional evidence they can uncover to both understand her motivation and why she did these particular acts.”

If convicted on all charges, Ortiz faces up to life in state prison.

Details about the shooting at Rihanna’s home

Multiple shots were fired at the residence, but none penetrated the inside of her home, only the exterior, sources said. Multiple rounds did hit the outside of the home, though, as well as a vehicle parked out front.

Video from the scene showed bullet holes covered with tape on the home’s front gate.

Sources said that the weapon allegedly used by Ortiz was an AR-style gun. At least two homes on the block had bullet holes.

In dispatch audio, officials are heard saying the suspect’s Tesla was followed by an LAPD helicopter into a mall parking garage, where she was pulled over and detained by patrol units.

Investigators are trying to determine whether Ortiz knew if Rihanna lived at the home. The motive of the shooting remains under investigation, but law enforcement sources told News that they are looking at all aspects of Ortiz’ life, including her social media presence, to find answers.

The motive of the shooting remains under investigation, but investigators are now looking at the suspect’s social media presence, including a rambling, talk to camera video where she refers to the singer, to find answers.
