Semi-truck crash spills corn on 10 Fwy in San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. () — Several lanes of the 10 Freeway in San Bernardino were shut down Wednesday morning after a semi-truck carrying corn crashed, spilling some of its cargo on the roadway.

The crash was reported shortly after 1 a.m. on eastbound lanes at Waterman Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Details about what led up to the crash were not available, but it appears the big rig hit the freeway’s center divider, spilling several boxes of corn. Some of that debris was also impacting the westbound side of the freeway.

The two left eastbound lanes were blocked and the left westbound lane was blocked as a result. The lane closures were set to be in effect until around 8 a.m.

DEVELOPING: We will add more details to this report as they become available.
