Scott Wolf opened up about the “hardest year of my life” amid his separation from estranged wife Kelley Wolf.
“2025 Recap. Grateful for the hardest year of my life,” Scott, 57, captioned an Instagram carousel of pictures of his three children with Kelley, 49, on Thursday, January 1. “The curriculum was brutal for those I love most. There was suffering, learning, growing, loving, laughing, crying. Mostly learning and growing. In other words, life. I think we passed.”
Wolf added, “I love my people more than ever. I love people more than ever. I love my work more than ever. So the hardest year brought the most love. Life indeed. Wishing you all a 2026 full of love.”
Scott and Kelley share two sons, Jackson, 16, and Miller, 13, and a daughter, Lucy, 11.
The former couple, who wed in 2004, announced they were going their separate ways in June 2025.
“It is with a heavy heart that Scott and I are moving forward with the dissolution of our marriage,” Kelley wrote in an Instagram statement. “This has been a long, quiet journey for me — rooted in hope, patience, and care for our children. While I will not speak publicly about the details, I feel peace knowing that I’ve done everything I can to walk this path with integrity and compassion.”
She added, “We both look forward to an extraordinary life centered around the most extraordinary children. My priority has always been their wellbeing — and my own healing. That will never change. I am stepping into a chapter of peace, freedom, and protection — with grace. Thank you to the many friends, family, and professionals who have held space for me with love.”
Scott said in a statement to People at the time, “After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley. Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter.”
The couple have had an acrimonious split since then, with the Party of Five alum reportedly obtaining but ultimately dropping a temporary protective order against his estranged wife.
Scott was granted the order in August after Kelley leaked his phone number on social media. At the time, she was arrested for harassment but released two days later.
During an August court hearing, Kelley told a Utah judge that she planned to seek mental health treatment the following month.
“I have informed everyone that needs to know, I will be attending a [treatment center] starting on September 12,” she said, per docs obtained by People. “This is what was asked of me by both Bart Johnson and Scott Wolf now for six months — all I wanted to do was leave a marriage. I am excited to go to [the treatment center]. I’m looking forward to it. My brother is taking me. It’s fantastic. It’s a great place. I recommended it all the time as a mental health professional myself, so September 12, I will be there for a month. I hope that helps.”
Since then, Scott and Kelley appear to have mended fences. In October, the Doc actor wished his estranged wife a happy birthday via Instagram.
In November, Scott shared a photo of Kelley hugging son Miller in a post celebrating his 13th birthday.
“Mr. Fahrenheit. An American Original. A holder of light. A good time. A divining rod. Proof of life. Proof of love. A pusher of buttons. 85 pounds of vulnerability and courage. A boat AND the deep blue sea. How lucky are we,” he wrote. “A TEENAGER now. Fastening our chin straps for this one. Happy Birthday, MWW. You are love, you are loved. 💝.”
