“It was so fun to drop little hints for my fans,” Carpenter says. “My music videos are such a labor of love, so I love incorporating elements that are authentic to me and add to the overall storyline. One of the reasons I’m excited about launching this with Prada Beauty is because their products emphasize some of my favorite features and give the perfect level of glam that makes me feel feminine but still sophisticated.”

Carpenter’s obsession with the brand was first chronicled in the video for “Please, Please, Please” (released in June), in which the doe-eyed blonde finds herself sprung from jail—somebody paid her bond!—and the two possessions returned to her are a pair of Projekt Produkt sunglasses and Prada Lip Balm. “I had to think, Okay, what product is on me at all times that I’d truthfully be picking up from jail?!” Carpenter muses. “Ever since I was first introduced to it by my makeup artist a few months ago, it’s without a doubt the Prada Blue Balm.” In the video, she dabs it on just before making eye contact with her love interest—Barry Keoghan—and the trouble begins.

In “Taste,” Carpenter swipes on her lipstick right before she battles scream queen Jenna Ortega for her man. (Spoiler alert: The lipstick perseveres, but the love interest does not.) “I loved the added flair of touching up my glam before the other antics commenced [in this video],” Carpenter says. “I knew I wanted to use my current favorite lipstick, the Prada Monochrome in Tonka.”

With her tour underway, Carpenter has brought Prada Beauty with her on the road. So far her mauve pink signature lip has been spotted in Columbus, Ohio, and Toronto, with many more cameos to come. “I’ve been a fan of Prada for so many years,” she says. “I had a sneak peek of some of their new products recently, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.”
