Ricki Lake has no regrets about going under the knife.

Lake, 57, gushed about her facelift results during the Monday, March 16, episode of the “Inside Edit” podcast.

“I told my doctor, Dr. Alan Fouad, who I met through another friend, that I didn’t do any research when I decided very impulsively to have my face done,” the actress shared, noting that her friend previously put in the work.

“Anyway, she had this experience [and] I saw her eight days after her surgery, and not only did she look amazing, she was euphoric,” Lake said of her friend. “She was like a different person. She was just on top of the world.”

After seeing how her friend responded to the surgery, Lake decided to go under the knife next.

“I had just lost 40 pounds, and I had this [skin] hanging,” Lake explained while motioning to her neck. She also shared that she didn’t get the surgery to “look younger” and fully embraces aging. “It’s like I had an appendage hanging that wasn’t going to grow back, like come back up,” she said.

Lake went under the knife in July 2025 and “never looked back.” She even praised the work for being the “best facelift [she’s] seen.”

“I love that I can talk about it. I’m fully transparent, always have been,” she said. “I don’t want there to be any stigma. This is something that was bothering me.”

At the end of the day, Lake saw plastic surgery as something that would make her more confident. She concluded, “I lost a lot of weight and I had this certain thing hanging and I had it fixed.”

Lake isn’t the only star who has been candid about getting a facelift. Kris Jenner, Jane Fonda, Sharon Osbourne, Cher and Dolly Parton are more celebs who have had the procedure.
