PLAYA DEL REY, LOS ANGELES () — Loved ones are remembering a 36-year-old pregnant mother and Google executive who was hit and killed while riding a bike with her family in Playa del Rey over the weekend.
Regan Cole-Graham was with her husband and two children Saturday when she was hit by a car at Manchester Avenue and Pershing Drive.
Los Angeles police said the driver who collided with her electric bike remained at the scene and that the incident appears to be a tragic accident.
“Regan was the most wonderful human being that I ever met,” friend Ashley Saglie told Eyewitness News.
Loved ones are remembering a pregnant mother and Google executive who was hit and killed while riding a bike with her family in Playa del Rey.
Cole-Graham, who was seven months pregnant, was taken to the hospital but she did not survive. Her unborn baby also died.
“She’s the best mother, and she loved her kids and the world is… It’s not fair,” an emotional Saglie said.
Friends described Cole-Graham as devoted to her family.
“She loved life. She loved playing with her kids. She loved her husband dearly,” Chrystal Caban said. “She loved her sisters with her whole heart, and she loved her parents more than anything. We’re going to miss her every day.”
Members of Cole-Graham’s mom group said they all met because of her. They gathered weekly for brunch and called themselves the Baby Breakfast Club. They said their focus now is supporting Cole-Graham’s family and her two boys.
“Everything I know about being a mom is from her,” friend Mary Creel said while fighting back tears. “I can’t imagine doing this without her, but I’m gonna make sure that my son remembers mommy Regan. He called her mommy Regan.”
The family has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for funeral expenses.
