CHINO HILLS, Calif. () — The $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot wasn’t won in Southern California, but a lucky player in the Inland Empire did become a lot richer.

A ticket sold in Chino Hills matched five of the six numbers in Wednesday’s Christmas Eve drawing. That ticket is worth $2,811,275, according to California lottery officials.

The ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven on Chino Hills Parkway. In 2016, that same 7-Eleven sold a ticket that won a $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot.

Meanwhile, the current Powerball jackpot resets to $20 million after a ticket sold in Arkansas matched all six numbers to win the $1.817 billion grand prize.
