SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (CNS) — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Santa Clarita Friday night.
Deputies responded at approximately 8:22 p.m. to the intersection of Magic Mountain Parkway and Tourney Road to reports of a hit-and-run traffic crash involving a pedestrian and a ”large” dark-colored pickup truck, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver failed to remain at the scene and continued westbound on Magic Mountain Parkway, authorities said.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel arrived at the location, where they pronounced the man dead at the scene.
His name was not immediately provided, pending notification of relatives.
A description of the suspect was not available.
