The northbound 101 Freeway in Ventura County was shut down for several hours Saturday morning due to an overturned semi-truck.
The incident was reported around 2:30 a.m. south of Padre Juan Canyon Road near Solimar Beach, according to the California Highway Patrol. It’s unclear what caused the crash, but the semi was blocking all lanes of the northbound freeway.
Traffic was being diverted off at State Beaches Road. At 7:18 a.m., the CHP said all lanes would be closed for another two hours.
Details about injuries were not available, but we do know that an ambulance was called to the scene.
