Former president and current GOP nominee Donald Trump and his allies’ strategy “in this final stretch to the election is about one thing and one thing only,” MSNBC’s Ayman Mohyeldin argued this weekend.
And that is, “projection.”
Mohyeldin highlighted Republican hypocrisy over various issues, like the response to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, divisive rhetoric and calls for free speech.
“Do you notice a trend here?” he asked.
“Everything Trump and his party accuse Democrats of doing ultimately ends up being a cynical projection of themselves,” Mohyeldin noted. “From defending democracy to free speech, reproductive rights and free and fair elections.”
