Netflix is exploring Benedict’s romance with newcomer Sophie in season 4 — but who makes up the Bridgerton cast amid onscreen exits?
Over the years, Netflix fans have settled in to watch various love stories connected to the fictional Bridgerton family. Based on Julia Quinn‘s book series, season 1 of the hit period drama debuted in 2020 with Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Jean Page) as the main focus of the show. Bridgerton highlighted Anthony’s (Jonathan Bailey) love story with Kate (Simone Ashley) two years later.
Before Bridgerton returned in 2024 with Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) as the focus, Netflix expanded the universe with prequel series Queen Charlotte, which premiered one year prior. Now, viewers are on the edge of their seats waiting for season 4, which will explore Benedict’s (Luke Thompson) romance with Sophie (Yerin Ha).
Netflix previously confirmed that the show will be returning for seasons 5 and 6. It remains to be seen who will be the focus of the next installments — but according to Quinn, that has already been decided.
Keep scrolling to see who makes up the cast of season 4, which is based on Quinn’s An Offer From a Gentleman:
Luke Thompson

Benedict’s personal life — and professional ups and downs — were explored in past seasons of the show, but now he is taking center stage.
Yerin Ha
Starring opposite Thompson, Ha is a maid named Sophie who is also the mysterious woman Benedict meets at a ball.
“What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles — something that she constantly has to overcome,” Ha told Netflix’s Tudum in October 2024. “Whether it’s this battle around social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict.”
Katie Leung
In this retelling of Cinderella, Leung’s Lady Araminta Gun fits into the evil stepmother stereotype.
“Araminta and Rosamund are so focused on their own goals that, frankly, the Bridgertons don’t register much for them at first, beyond the fact that Benedict proves to be quite the catch this season,” showrunner Jess Brownell teased to Tudum.
Michelle Mao
Mao’s character, Rosamund Li, has been described as “her mother’s mini-me — a marriage mart pro chess player.”
Isabella Wei
Wei, meanwhile, plays Posy Li, who is “dreamy and often unserious, much to her mother’s disapproval.”
Jonathan Bailey
Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley Liam Daniel/Netflix
Bailey has confirmed Anthony is back in season 4, but he is expected to have a reduced role.
Simone Ashley
The same goes for Anthony’s wife, Kate (Ashley), with the actress reprising the fan-favorite role after being largely off screen in season 3.
Claudia Jessie

Jessie’s Eloise is one of the members of the Bridgerton family who is a possible contender to lead season 5.
Luke Newton
After being the focus of season 3, Colin is back as a husband — and father.
Nicola Coughlan
Coughlan’s Penelope is also still a major player in season 4 after being unmasked as Lady Whistledown.
Hannah Dodd
Speaking of next possible leads, Dodd’s Francesca is also a possibility.
Victor Alli
Hannah Dodd as Francesca Bridgerton and Victor Alli as John Stirling Liam Daniel/Netflix
Francesca’s marriage to John Stirling will continue to be explored before his (spoiler alert) tragic death.
Florence Hunt
Hunt’s character, Hyacinth, will be featured more despite being a few seasons away from becoming the lead.
Will Tilston
While Tilston is also expected to appear more, he will likely be the last Bridgerton to get their own season.
Adjoa Andoh
Adjoa Andoh. Liam Daniel/Netflix
As always, Andoh is playing Lady Danbury in the fourth season of the hit Netflix series.
Ruth Gemmell
(L to R) Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton, Victor Alli as John Stirling, Hannah Dodd as Francesca Bridgerton. Liam Daniel/Netflix
Gemmell’s Violet found an unexpected romance in season 3, which continues to play out.
Golda Rosheuvel
Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte Liam Daniel/Netflix
After scoring her own prequel, Rosheuvel’s Queen Charlotte is back to lead the ton amid the newest social season.
Martins Imhangbe
Imhangbe’s Will is now a member of high society, which has allowed for more screen time.
Emma Naomi
(L to R) Martins Imhangbe as Will Mondrich, Emma Naomi as Alice Mondrich. Liam Daniel/Netflix
The same goes for Naomi’s Alice, who made multiple appearances in the official season 4 trailer.
Julie Andrews
Despite Penelope reclaiming her voice, Andrews will keep lending hers as Lady Whistledown.
Daniel Francis
Violet’s connection with Lord Anderson seems to still play a role on the show.
Masali Baduza
Not much is known about how Michaela will be incorporated in season 4 after that gender swap twist — but fans are awaiting her return.
