Man stabbed near Metro station in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. () — A man was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed near a Metro station in Long Beach Wednesday morning.

The incident was reported around 5 a.m. near the Pacific station near Pacific Avenue and 5th Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

That’s where responding officers found man with stab wounds to his upper body. He was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Details about what led up to the stabbing were not clear. No arrests have been made.

Train service was stopped in the area. According to an alert from Metro, bus shuttles will replace service between Pacific and Anaheim stations due to the police activity.
