Police in Dallas, Texas, continue to investigate a deadly shooting that involved three people who investigators allege all met using an online dating app.

Detectives did not specify which app Noah Trueba had used to match with a married couple in their 50s, but that is exactly what they allege happened.

A statement released to the press on the shooting alleges that Trueba, 26, met up with the couple, and that all three of them drank alcohol and used drugs together.

“On January 2, 2026, at approximately 5:10 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 11800 block of High Meadow Drive” in northwest Dallas, according to the press release. “The preliminary investigation determined two individuals were shot at the location by a known suspect.”

Trueba allegedly fled the scene of the shooting on foot. However, police used a drone to track him to a nearby highway, where he was allegedly attempting to hide.

Trueba allegedly told police after his arrest that the couple tried to sexually assault him. In response, he allegedly said he opened fire, hitting both of the victims.

Dallas Fire-Rescue did respond to the shooting scene and pronounced Guadalupe Gonzalez, 57, dead soon after arrival.
