LOS ANGELES () — Tuesday will be a warm day in Southern California as a ridge of high pressure hangs over the region.

A low pressure ridge is beginning to move into the area, bringing along a cool down that is expected at the end of the week.

Los Angeles and Orange counties on Tuesday will see some morning fog and afternoon sunshine with a high of 83 degrees. Temperatures will drop by a few degrees later in the week.

The valleys and Inland Empire can expect temps to hit around 96 on Tuesday, dropping to the upper 80s later in the week.

Beaches will be cloudy in the morning, with a high of around 74 by the afternoon.

Mountains will be breezy Tuesday, with a high of 78.

The desert areas on Tuesday will reach a high of 100. For the rest of the week, they can expect temperatures in the upper 90s. Palms Springs will hit 108 Tuesday.
