LOS ANGELES () — Southern California will see pleasant conditions Thursday and through the weekend as people start making their New Year’s Eve plans.

In Ventura County, however, a high surf advisory remains in effect through the weekend.

On Thursday, Los Angeles and Orange counties will reach a high of 67 degrees, dropping to 47 at night.

The valleys and Inland Empire on will see a high of 67 and sunny conditions. Temperatures will drop to 44 degrees at night.

Beaches will see a high of 62 degrees and a low of 50. Don’t forget, if you’re planning to visit the beach, watch out for that high surf advisory bringing big waves.

Mountains will be mostly sunny, reaching a high of 52 degrees. Temperatures will drop to a chilly 26 degrees overnight.

Deserts will see a high of 66 and a low of 41. Temperatures will gradually increase heading into the weekend when it could warm up to around 70 degrees.
