Large fire breaks out at commercial building in San Pedro

SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES () — Firefighters are battling a large fire at a single-story commercial building in San Pedro.

The fire was reported at about 9 p.m. Tuesday burning in the 1600 block of S. Pacific Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters were transitioning to a defensive operation as additional resources were responding to the scene, according to the agency.

AIR7 flew over the scene where flames could be seen shooting through the roof of the building.

It was not immediately clear if anyone had to be evacuated from the building. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
