Lady Gaga is a true fashion chameleon. Over the years, the pop superstar (turned movie star) has experimented with many different looks—from rocking country-western duds on stage (cue: Joanne!), to channeling Old Hollywood glamour on the red carpet. But one thing that’s been a constant in her ever-evolving wardrobe? Gaga’s trustee Pleaser boots. Coming in at a cool 7 inches high, the death-defying Adore-1020 heels have become her surprising everyday shoe.
Just last night, Gaga re-wore her go-to Pleasers yet again, this time for a romantic dinner with fiancé Michael Polansky at SoHo House in Malibu. As usual, the star wore them in a more casual way—as though she was sporting a pair of comfy sneakers. Gaga styled the shoes with fishnet stockings and an oversized tee that read, “You’re listening to Harlequin radio.” (Likely a nod to Harley Quinn, who she portrays in the upcoming Joker sequel.)
Gaga’s dedication to sporting the sky-high heels, which require serious skill and training to wear (talk about balance!), is admirable. Over the years she has worn them with all kinds of ensembles—from wild leopard coats, to sleek and demure LBDs. Do you think she also slips them on to run to the grocery store? If she’s wearing them for a low-key Monday night dinner, our bet is on yes.
