Jinger Duggar’s husband, Jeremy Vuolo, pulled off an epic Christmas surprise.

“[Jeremy] surprised me with a new and upgraded wedding band,” Duggar, 32, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, December 28. “So, naturally, he had @austin4site officiate [a mock] ceremony and [have] the kids be a part of the wedding party to present it to me.”

Duggar and Vuolo, 38, have been married since 2016, celebrating their ninth anniversary last month.

“From newlyweds to a family of five — still madly in love with this life with you,” Duggar gushed via Instagram on November 5. “I love you, jj.”

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo‘s love story may have been a whirlwind — but their connection is undeniably strong. The couple were introduced through Jinger’s sister Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, who met the former soccer star in Texas before he visited the Duggar family in Arkansas. Jinger reflected on the early days […]

For Christmas, Vuolo staged a fake wedding to give Duggar her new ring. The Counting On alum’s brother-in-law Austin Forsyth, who is married to Joy-Anna Duggar, acted as the officiant while both families’ respective kids were the flower girls and ring bearers.

Jinger and Vuolo are the parents of Felicity, 7, Evangeline, 5, and Finn, who was born in March. Joy-Anna, 28, and Forsyth, 32, meanwhile, have three kids of their own.

“ILY @jeremy_vuolo 😘,” Jinger concluded on Sunday.

Jinger and Vuolo celebrated the holiday with her family in Arkansas for the first time in nine years.

“The reason we haven’t been back for Christmas Day is because that’s the only time of year that [Jeremy’s] family is all together,” Jinger, who lives in California with her spouse, said on her podcast earlier this month. “Throughout the years, we’ve decided, ‘Like, OK, that’s going to be the time that we spend with the Vuolo family over Christmas.”

She continued, “My family [is] always together a lot, and so it’s easy for us to pop back. We [recently] went back three times in one year for weddings.”

After so many years away for the holidays, Jinger admitted that she felt “nostalgic” about her childhood.

“I want our girls to experience a Duggar family Christmas, and I miss it,” she explained. “We’ve done different kinds of things. Back when I [lived] at the Big House, there were some years where we’d be, like, ‘Everybody has to wait, we go down together and then it’s a free-for-all and everyone just opens gifts.’ Some other years, I remember us waiting and each person would open. They either start from the oldest and go down, or start from the youngest and go up.”

Jinger Duggar grew up in front of the camera on 19 Kids and Counting, but the process began to change with her now-husband, Jeremy Vuolo, in the mix. “Early days, first meals together, making small talk, the process of getting to know someone can feel a little awkward. But I would say that there’s probably […]

This year, the Duggars each brought a gift for one person.

“All the older girls are in a drawing, all the guys are in a drawing — in-laws, everything,” she teased at the time. “All of the little nieces and nephews … have a drawing thing. [Everyone] is buying one gift, or a certain amount, for each other.”

Jinger and Vuolo first started courting, following her family’s tradition, in 2015.

“Jer came on the scene and I think my hesitation was mainly because of him being outside of my world,” Jinger exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2023 of meeting her now-husband. “That can be a fearful thing when you’re in that [IBLP] culture.”

Jinger, who eventually distanced herself from her family’s strict and conservative religion, felt completely at ease with Vuolo from their first date.

“I had such confidence, though,” she recalled. “I remember coming back [from a date] and telling my mom, ‘I feel so safe with him. Like he is everything that I’ve ever wanted.’”
