Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade Giannulli are still spending time together following their latest split last year.
“They never really stopped talking,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly of the duo. “They would text and check in. They always plan to see each other when Jacob is in NYC. Olivia has been spending most of her time in the city, and they usually connect when he is there.”
The source adds that Elordi, 28, and Giannulli, 26, “aren’t putting a label on [their relationship] or seriously dating.”
“There are still strong feelings between them, and they do enjoy their time when they get to see each other,” the insider continues. “Distance has always been the issue, but there is a lot of love there.”
The source notes that Elordi has been “very supportive” as Olivia has navigated her family’s “new normal” after her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, announced their split in October 2025.
“She has leaned on him a lot,” the source says.
Us reached out to reps for Elordi and Olivia for comment.
The update comes one day after the on-off couple was photographed together at a screening of Elordi’s movie Frankenstein in New York City, according to People. The twosome were also spotted together in the city earlier on Wednesday, January 14, wearing casual clothes as they entered a black SUV, as seen in photos published by Deuxmoi.

Elordi and Olivia first sparked a connection in December 2021, one month after the Euphoria star called it quits with ex Kaia Gerber. He and Olivia continued to spend time together amid multiple breakup reports over the following four years, with their most recent split occurring in October 2025.
“It was very short-lived, and they were seeing each other for about a month before they figured out it wasn’t working again,” an insider exclusively told Us after the pair briefly reconciled in September 2025. “Olivia has been in NYC, and Jacob has been filming and has his home base in L.A., so distance was a factor.”
The insider added that Elordi and Olivia “realized they are better off not together,” noting that the Saltburn actor was “already seeing someone else and has been on dates.”

Elordi and Olivia previously split in August 2025 after a “rocky” summer, a source told Us at the time. The YouTuber moved to Paris to “get away and have a fresh start for a bit,” as she “needed a change of scenery,” the source added.
Olivia opened up about her move in a July 2025 vlog.
“I moved to Paris … for a bit,” she said. “I’m here for a little while living, so I’m really excited to get some videos out for you guys. And it’s just going to be, I feel like such an exciting, formative time. I love how light it stays for so long in the days. It feels amazing. … There’s just a lot going on, and it’s all really good and really exciting.”
Olivia also revealed that she had been navigating “uncomfortable changes” in an August 2025 YouTube video.
“I think summer gets painted as this, like, carefree, perfect kind of month or two, and I’m here to remind you that it’s totally normal if you’re feeling a little off or a little nervous during big transitions or seasonal transitions or whatever it may be,” she said. “I feel like my therapist has very much supported me during this season of life and change, and I’m very grateful that I have an outlet and somebody to talk to.”
