A shooting outside Hulen Mall in Fort Worth resulted in an injury
A shooting incident outside Hulen Mall in Fort Worth, Texas resulted in an injury to a bystander on Sunday. Police have not released details on the suspects or the victim yet. Officials said they were called to the scene at 4720 South Hulen Street shortly before 2 PM local time.
Police said they believe that at least three people started shooting at each other while leaving the mall. Local media outlets quoted authorities in reporting that the victim was a bystander and was grazed on their head by a bullet. Forth Worth police added that the victim’s condition is currently unknown. However, they believe the injury is minor.
Police said they have no information on suspects at this time. The investigation is still ongoing.
“Shooting (Fort Worth) Fort Worth PD is investigating a shooting outside Hulen Mall. At around 1:45pm, at least three individuals were involved in a shootout outside the mall, police say. A bystander was grazed in the head by a bullet. No suspect(s) in custody,” DFW Scanner said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.
Meanwhile, Toronto police on Saturday responded to a possible shooting call at the Yorkdale Mall. However, authorities confirmed that there was an apparent fight between a group of people.
Toronto police said they responded to the mall in the area of Dufferin Street and Highway 401 shortly before 6 p.m. for reports of “people fighting.” Several social media users posted videos and images of the incident, saying the mall was put under lockdown.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the mall said, “There was a disturbance involving a group of people at Yorkdale.”
