Halle Bailey is calling out her ex, DDG, after their 9-month-old son, Halo, appeared on a livestream without her consent.
‘Hi everyone. just so you know I am out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight,” Bailey, 24, shared in a now-deleted message via X on Wednesday, November 6, just hours after DDG and Halo appeared on YouTuber Kai Cenat’s Twitch stream. (Cenat has over 13 million followers on Twitch.)
“I wasn’t told or notified and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people,” the Little Mermaid star continued, according to outlets including People and the Daily Mail.
“I am his mother and protector and saddened that I wasn’t notified especially when I am out of town,” Bailey, 24, added.
Us Weekly has reached out to a representative for DGG for comment.
DDG — real name Darryl Dwayne Grandberry Jr. — announced his split from Bailey in early October, less than a year after the former couple welcomed baby Halo.
“After much reflection and heartfelt support conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” DDG, 27, wrote via his Instagram Story on October 3. “This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us.”
DDG shared that he cherished the time he and Bailey “spent together” and the “love” they had for one another throughout the course of their relationship.
“Despite changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other,” he continued. “As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as coparents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we shared.”
Bailey and DDG were first linked together in January 2022 and made their first red-carpet appearance together in June 2022 at the BET Awards.
In January, Bailey addressed months of pregnancy rumors by confirming via Instagram that she had welcomed her first child with DDG in 2023.
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son,” she captioned a photo of her newborn’s tiny hand via Instagram on January 6. “Welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️.”
