Gwyneth Paltrow’s 19-year-old son, Moses, has no interest in watching his mom’s sex scenes with Timothée Chalamet in Marty Supreme.
“You and Timothée. Well, you have a romantic relationship in the film,” Seth Meyers said during the Monday, December 15, episode of his late night talk show. “How is that for him, sitting next to your mom during those scenes?”
Paltrow, 53, joked that it was “not great” for Moses to see those intimate moments.
“He was like this,” Paltrow said, while covering her eyes with her hands. “He’s not into that.”
The actress noted that she “did warn” her son, before recalling her grandfather’s reaction to her Shakespeare in Love nude scene.
“It’s funny because you grow up doing these things in movies, and I remember once, I was so scared because I was taking my grandfather to see the premiere of Shakespeare in Love,” Paltrow continued. “I was like, ‘I have this topless scene, Grandpa, but it’s like part of the thing because they think I’m a boy.’ I was trying to prep him for the whole thing, and he just goes, ‘Ah, I seen it before. Two eggs, sunny side up.’”

This came to mind when Paltrow was attempting to warn Moses about what goes down in Marty Supreme.
“I mean, based on how you just delivered it, you should have said that. Don’t sell yourself short,” Meyers, 51, said. “What a pearl of wisdom to pass down to the next generation. Well, we’re going to let your grandfather have the final word because it was so fantastic.”
Despite the minor sex scene drama, Paltrow said her son “loved” the movie.
Paltrow stepped out with Moses, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Martin, at the Marty Supreme premiere on December 8 in California. He joined his mom again at the film’s New York premiere on Tuesday, December 16. This time, they were joined by Paltrow and Martin’s 21-year-old daughter, Apple, as well.
Paltrow has spoken candidly about filming her intimate scenes with Chalamet, 29, for the movie, which hits theaters on Christmas Day.
“I mean, we have a lot of sex in this movie,” she told Vanity Fair in an article published in March. “There’s a lot — a lot.”
Paltrow said she and Chalamet did not utilize the intimacy coordinator while working on the movie.
“I was like, ‘Girl, I’m from the era where you get naked, you get in bed, the camera’s on,’” the actress explained. “We said, ‘I think we’re good. You can step a little bit back.’”
Paltrow continued, “I don’t know how it is for kids who are starting out, but … if someone is like, ‘OK, and then he’s going to put his hand here’ — she lays a milky-manicured hand on her own shoulder — ‘I would feel, as an artist, very stifled by that.’”
All in all, Paltrow was not bothered by the sex scenes with Chalamet — feeling only one type of way.
“I was like, ‘OK, great. I’m 109 years old. You’re 14,’” she quipped.
