HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES () — Nearly 70 firefighters battled a fire in the attic of the famed Magic Castle in Hollywood on Tuesday.

Crews responded to the 7000 block of Franklin Avenue after the fire was reported just before 5:30 p.m.

A knockdown was achieved in 41 minutes and no injuries were reported, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. LAFD identified roof work as a possible cause of the blaze.

Video showed light smoke coming from the roof of the building.

There have been recent renovations going on at the business, and it’s been closed for a couple of weeks.

A total of 68 firefighters responded to the scene.

“Firefighters continue salvage and smoke removal operations, and will remain on scene for full overhaul of the fire damage,” the fire department said.
