Billy Bob Thornton‘s character Tommy had a full-frontal scene on Taylor Sheridan‘s Landman — but did the actor actually strip down or was it a prosthetic?

Co-creator Christian Wallace clarified that the moment “wasn’t an actual full-frontal” scene for Thornton, 70, telling The Hollywood Reporter on Monday, January 19, “We had an on-set intimacy coordinator, and the original prosthetic she brought in made everyone laugh. We were like, ‘No.’”

After seeing the size of the original prosthetic, the crew opted for “a more humble alternative” for Thornton.

“It is surprising to me that people think that was actually Billy doing full-frontal nudity,” Wallace added. “So I should say props to our intimacy coordinator for making it extremely realistic, and to the props team. They had a whole rig, as Billy called it: ‘Got my rig on.’”

While some actors exposed themselves in full-frontal scenes, others have chosen not to go completely nude — and opted for body prosthetics instead. Eric Dane, who plays Cal Jacobs on Euphoria, previously explained what goes into working on such a vulnerable part of the project. “Those scenes are very difficult to shoot. It helps to have […]

During a December 2025 episode of the Paramount+ series, Tommy woke up in bed and accidentally flashed an employee at a hotel. The hotel worker started to scream when Tommy — who was still asleep — rolled over and exposed himself. The woman asked that Tommy not “rape” her, which is when Angela (Ali Larter) rushed in from the bathroom.

“Put your d*** away!” Angela told Tommy before addressing the hotel employee. “Don’t be scared, darling. That wasn’t about you. He eats [prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction] Cialis like M&Ms and runs into door jams all morning with that thing. I’m so sorry about that.”

Angela started to argue with Tommy after the woman left.

“I was trying to surprise you with breakfast in bed. … That is not the best angle of your ball sack, I might add. You really have to love a man to look at him from there. Poor thing. If she wasn’t a lesbian when she walked in here, she’s a f***ing lesbian now,” she said. “I’m getting dressed. My husband flashes the waitstaff and that kind of kills the mood.”

Tommy, meanwhile, blamed Angela for giving him “an extra pill” the night before.

Taylor Sheridan‘s Landman introduced some shocking twists and turns — but where would season 3 go after Demi Moore‘s Cami fired Billy Bob Thornton‘s character Tommy? “Now, what do I do with this f***ing thing?” he asked. “I might f*** the whole breakfast. The waffles, the fruit, the goddamn bagel and the omelette. The omelette is the first thing that’s getting f***ed. You better order another one because that one is f***ed.”

Season 2 of the hit series, which wrapped on Sunday, January 18, raised the stakes by shaking up the narrative with Demi Moore‘s Cami added into the mix. Elsewhere in the show, Larter’s Angela, Jacob Lofland‘s Cooper, Michelle Randolph‘s Ainsley and more were at the center of their own drama.

Before the show was renewed for a third installment, Thornton revealed he signed on for four or five seasons of Landman, telling THR he would remain on the hit series “as long as I’m able” or “until the story runs out.”

Landman is currently streaming on Paramount+.
