Dee Roscioli will be making her debut as “Madeline Ashton” in Death Becomes Her tonight! The Wicked alum will be stepping in for Megan Hilty for the April 15 performance at 7:00 pm, as well as the April 16 performance at 2:00 pm. Before her first performance in the role, Hilty took to social media to wish her well.
“Something very special is happening tonight (and tomorrow afternoon) at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater,” Hilty captioned a photo of Roscioli on Instagram. “This delightful beauty is making her Madeline Ashton debut! Few have more talent, poise & grace than Miss Dee Roscioli. She has a deeply impressive reputation – not only for her incredible talent, but also for being one of the kindest people in the biz. Having gotten to know her over the last several weeks, I can attest that both are absolutely true! Please join me in wishing her the best while I’m away with my family – Go get ‘em, Dee! Do it for the GAZE!”
Roscioli responded to Hilty’s message, commenting: “Right back atcha my queen.”
She recently joined the company of Death Becomes Her as the standby for both Madeline Ashton and Helen Sharp. This marks the first time she has taken the stage in the hit musical comedy.
She is best known for “defying gravity” as Elphaba in the Broadway, Chicago, San Francisco, and National Touring productions of the musical Wicked. Most recently, Roscioli was seen as Celine Dion in Titanique Off-Broadway. Other credits include The Cher Show and in the revival of Fiddler on the Roof.

Before the musical arrived on Broadway, it played at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago in early 2024. Both the Chicago and original Broadway productions were led by Megan Hilty, Jennifer Simard, Christopher Sieber, and Michelle Williams.
