NEW YORK CITY — The Children’s and Family Emmy Awards were held Monday night in New York City, celebrating the best in creativity and innovation in children’s entertainment.

The Walt Disney Company shattered the record for most nominations, receiving 102.

The stars of today and tomorrow showed up at Jazz at Lincoln Center Monday night, including Dara Renee from the Disney+ show, “Descendants: The Rise Of Red.”

Also, during the ceremony, Bill Nye the Science Guy was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and also spoke to entertainment reporter Joelle Garguilo.

“I put my heart and soul into that thing, and all the things I do, and I’ve been a member of the national academy since I guess 1985,” he said. “So, this is very nice. It’s amazing, wonderful.”

Disney’s “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” was the most-nominated series with 17 nominations, including Outstanding Young Teen Series.
