At least 1 killed in head-on crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu

MALIBU, Calif. () — At least one person was killed in a head-on crash on a dangerous stretch of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu Thursday evening.

The crash was reported around 7:17 p.m. when an SUV and sedan collided on PCH, north of Deer Creek Road, according to a traffic log.

When the Ventura County Fire Department arrived, one of the vehicles was fully engulfed in flames.

At least one person was killed. It’s unclear if more injuries were reported.

PCH was shut down for hours but later reopened.
